My dad just left for work, and my mom went with him. I have to go upstairs with my sister, who just woke up. Thankfully the boy is still asleep.
I'll try to get back on before two hours, but I can't promise anything. I don't know how long my mom will be gone.

I'm rereading The His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman, in order to steel my resolve against the movie (LYRA IS NOT SUPPOSED TO BE A DAKOTA FANNING CLONE, FTW!). Whether it's good or not, the books will always be my very first link to fantasy fiction. Love, love, love. |

I have no inspiration at 5:25 am. It just doesn't work.
I'm watching Anastasia now, the cartoon with John Cusack and Meg Ryan. God. I adored the movie when I was younger. I had this music box from the movie, with a little Anya that rose up in her yellow ball gown and played "Once Upon a December." I took that thing everywhere. I knew all the songs by heart - I still do.
So it's cool, like walking down the halls of your elementary school, years later or something. Like you remember exactly where everything is, except everything's so much smaller? |

I'm still watching An Inconvenient Truth. It's chilling. I have such respect for people with bravery such as this. The earth is such an incatrite and powerful thing. It's so big and so vast, yet so fragile. And the ability to point that out to people is such a courageous thing. We don't want to hear this stuff. We don't want to know how falliable we are. This is why we brush off global warming.
It's just amazing how much we deny ourselves, sometimes.
Okay, so my dad's waking up for work, and I definitely have to babysit later. My mom's got a doctor's appt and my brother has a gig tonight, so he's crashing somewhere else - how does this work, if I can't post for awhile? I don't know how long, but knowing my family, it could be an hour or eight hours. *sigh*
Anyway, I have one two-year-old brother, who's a holy terror, and a six-year-old sister who demands just as much attention. They will not let me go back to the computer to post every thirty minutes.
Soo...what do I do? Does it even matter? |

Oh my God. I've been reduced to watching Paula Abdul's reality show on Bravo. She's such a fucking brat, it's driving me nuts. Don't be a diva, babe. It's not attractive.

Seriously, everyone is ANNOYING me on this show. This designer chick decorated Paula's RENTAL house, and Paula didn't like it. So her gay lover or whoever, Daniel, who went through the house before Paula got there and raved about how much he loved it, completely turned around as soon as Paula started to hate it. First off, who hires a designer for a rental house? Who gets upset? IT'S RENTAL. You'll be moving back into your own house as soon as you get done renovating your fan-creating-machines or whatever.
She also cries too much. THIS is why I hate reality TV.
Kathy Griffin's show, however, is why I love TV. Why can't Bravo play Kathy? *whine*
I have a major love for Kathy. She gives me hope for humanity whenever I start to get Paris Hilton overload. |

My god, every two seconds, I get a comment alert email. I've never been so popular! (Yeah, it won't last.)
There are no clean dishes, anywhere in my house. They've all been piling up, and no one has loaded the dishwashers yet. Seriously, I live in a house with five other people, how is this possible?
I should wash them. I have all this time on my hands...the thing is, I don't want to. Ehh.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you all know that fact, in case any of you get crazy with the Google Earth and peek in to see me eating my Rice Krispies out of a sauce pan. That's why. |

Okay, so I tuned in to The Best Years on The-N for a bit. I wasn't too excited about it, because...honestly...it looked stupid. But I tuned in, and this is what I heard:
That one girl: He didn't even say goodbye.
A guy: I sent you an email.
That one girl: So what, I'm K-Fed and you're Britney?
Ah! Won me over.
Also, the Samantha chick has a great voice. That's what gets me, voices, facial expressions, hands.
One guy: Why would think I'm gay?
That one girl: You have a manner.
One guy (Noah?): Yeah, a mannish manner!
Yeah. I'm a fan.
So back to what I was saying - voice, face, hands. If I ever meet a guy with Michael Seater's facial expressions, Joshua Jackson's hand gestures and Logan Echolls' voice, I will be a goner.
Um, also - on Life with Derek? The principal is Mr. Lassiter - why are all asshole authority figures named Lassiter? *cough*Psych*cough* |

OMG, this was SUCH a Dasey episode.
( Ep Review – Spoilers - First of all – Derek scruffy and dirty. I die. )
I'm re-watching the latest episode of Big Love. God this show is great. So many different paths these characters take. How much do we love Ginnifer Goodwin? Woot!
From her HBO interview: "And I just think the story is so incredible, there are so many possibilities. I knew it was something that would keep inspiring me." That's exactly my view.
"I don't know. It's so funny because every time I've gotten a big job, everyone says 'your life is going to change.' I think I've removed myself so much from Hollywood socially, I wouldn't notice anyway. I'm a really dorky homebody. My friends tease me.
I mean, I went to theatre school and did theatre for 20 years, traveled the globe doing Shakespeare. I came from such an intense direction. But the truth is that most people out here made it because they were picked up in a bar, you know what I mean? Because they were beautiful physically. There are so many weird turns and bits of luck. But since working is my home base, and I don't really crave the perks — I know this sounds weird — but I can't even tell you if anything's changed.
She's so awesome. Total girl crush. I fell in love with her...I don't know when. I've seen her in a lot of little things, but I started keeping track of her after Win a Date With Tad Hamilton, and now this. I respect her so much as an actress, and she seems very down-to-earth and wonderful. Girl crush!
Also, she does voices for Robot Chicken. Win!
And, OMG, OMG. Is this REAL?! ♥

I've had a small idea in the back of my head for a Life with Derek story. Honestly I'm getting pretty sick of all the stories that proclaim 'Dark Dasey! Stay away, kiddies!' and then consist of Derek being a sexually deviant, masochistic sociopath. Dude, he lets Marti dress him up like a princess. The guy is all talk, okay? Jeez.
Anyway, I want a story that firmly shows the fact that Derek is a marshmallow. Cuz he so is. If he and Casey ever did get together, he'd totally be the girl. All the time.
( Idea. This is when all you Blogathon people poppin' by get an idea of the full extent of my obsession. )
